YouTube Videos FAQs

Q1: Why was I asked to log in YouTube account?

Any Video Converter features downloading videos from YouTube. But this is subject to the Terms of Use of YouTube.

YouTube requires log-in to verify your age to see if you are permitted to access adult contents or contents that may cause uneasy feelings. You shall create YouTube account to download such kind of videos.

Q2: There are different URLs in YouTube, which should I use?

Currently, one YouTube video will have different URLs. They are similar to links below:

Shorter link: http://youtu.be/3uvewTiTjU8
Long Link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uvewTiTjU8

HD Link (adding &hd at the end): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uvewTiTjU8&hd=1 or
http://youtu.be/3uvewTiTjU8&hd=1

Our products support downloading with all links above. You are free to download with either YouTube URL link.

Q5: How Can I find my downloaded video?

Once download process completed, please right click on YouTube video on the main panel and select Open Source File Location, then there will prompt a window to show you the downloaded file location.

Q6: Any Video (DVD) Converter fails to convert a YouTube video. It says "insert failed". Any idea?

If you receive this error message "Cannot get media information from video file…pv.mp4, insert failed" while trying to add a YouTube video into the converter, it’s probably that the video file name contains non-English character. Please modify the file name and try again.

To avoid downloading YouTube videos which have non-English file name not being recognized by the converter, please go to Edit > Options > Online Video, and then uncheck "Use HTML Title as output file name" option before downloading.

Q7: I can not download from YouTube and get a message "Analyzing failed. Cannot determine video format to be downloaded". Can you help?

Sometimes, you cannot download YouTube because the download engine of Any Video Converter is out of date. Any Video Converter series have always been keeping updating, you just need to install the latest version of AVC or update your download engine from prompts.
